White pearls illuminate the eyes, while pink tones delicately enhance paler complexions, providing a nuanced depth. In a single moment, the pursuit of the perfect cosmetic fades away, for pearls become an integral part of your being, akin to a resplendent second skin. A luminous string of pearls has the remarkable power to transform and enhance your complexion, unveiling a world of beauty.

Size

Similar in size to Akoya cultured pearls, ranging from 2mm to 13mm (although much rarer in larger sizes). On average, most freshwater cultured pearls measure between 4mm and 7mm.

Colour

Freshwater cultured pearls vary widely in colour, most often white or cream or natural shades of yellow, orange and purple. Some are immersed in bleach and flooded with fluorescent light and others are dyed.

Shape

Because the vast majority of freshwater cultured pearls are nucleated with pieces of mantle tissue, only about 2% are actually round. However, because they are produced in such vast quantities, this is still a very large number.

Care

Caring for your pearls will ensure they will be around for generations. Below are our 5 best tips for everlasting beauty:

Avoid letting them come into contact with cosmetics, hair spray, or perfume.

Never clean your pearls with solutions that contain ammonia or harsh detergents.

Wipe your pearls with a soft, lint-free cloth as soon as you take them off.

Your fine pearl necklace should be restrung periodically, depending on how often you wear it, ensuring the silk thread remains in a good condition.

Bring your pearls into one of our stores at least once a year for a free check-over by a member of our team.

Always put your pearls on last, after applying makeup and styling your hair.
